Ranchi: Addressing a program on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Thursday said the state government wants to empower all women of the state in order to improve their quality of life.
�Jharkhand is the first state in the country where property registration is being done in the name of women in just one rupee. At present, 80 percent of the registries are being done in the name of women.
By which women are becoming masters of property. Warehouses will soon be constructed at block level for the storage of the products produced by farmers and Sakhi mandals. Cold rooms are also being set up by the government at Block level.
Instructions have been given to banks for facilitating easy loan to Sakhi Mandals,� said the CM while addressing a meeting of women on the theme of Sakhi Mandal Se Sanwarta by JSLPS at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Dhurwa.
The CM further added, �Banks have been directed make Mudra loans easily available to Sakhi Mandals. Free honey boxes will be provided to farmers and Sakhi Mandals for beekeeping.
As many as 2.5 lakh honey boxes will be distributed free of cost throughout the state. Sakhi Mandal should not worry about the market as the state government will help them. The market is being built in urban areas as well as on tourist destinations.
Sakhi Mandals, who want to work in the field of fishery, will be given lakes on lease by the government in just Rs 1. Women just need to give their proposals to the department officials.�
Das said sanitary napkins produced by Sakhi Mandal, will be bought by health department. Every year, the state government provides sanitary pad worth 21 crore to school children for free, he said.
During the program, book named Shakti Path was released which is based on Sakhi Mandal se sanwarta Jharkhand. Along with this, “Jhar Taste” (tamarind Product) was launched.
