Jamshedpur, Feb 4: The Govind Vidyalaya, Tamulia students of Class XII were given a warm farewell. The occasion was a walk down memory lane where the outgoing batch of the ’23-’24 students recollected the years spent together with friends and teachers and reminisced joyous moments.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp in the presence of Director of the school Dr. B.D. Sharma, Secretary Abhishek Sharma, Principal Krishna Modak, Head of Hod Naushad Razia, PRO Rajesh Sharma and Hindi Medium section Principal Sunita Tripathi.
The welcome song for class XII students was presented and was followed by Tilak Ceremony by their juniors. In her welcome address, Principal Krishna Modak, appreciated the efforts of the outgoing batch for enthusiastically participating in varied competitions and raising the bar of perfection. She wished them luck to make a mark in the world outside and excel in which ever field they opted for.
The students of Std XI presented a medley of scintillating dance performances, melodious songs, pulsating music and Ramp walk. The class representatives of the outgoing batch delivered speeches expressing gratitude to their mentors and teachers for their invaluable contribution in making their journey of school life memorable. Each student received a memento as memoir.
Md Arsalan was crowned Mr GVT while Saleha Perween was declared Miss GVT. Seventeen other titles were conferred to the students based on their achievements and attributes.
A team of police officers from the Saraikela PS give important information to students on Jharkhand Shakti App for women safety and shared the information that the police helpline number had been changed from 100 to 112.
Earlier, the welcome speeches were delivered by Taskeen Perween and Kehkasha Shahid while the vote of thanks was offered by Rehan Khan.
