Jamshedpur, Feb 4: The socio-cultural heritage of the Bengali fraternity, The Milanee, celebrated its 110th Foundation Day on Sunday, February 4. Club President, Shekhar Dey, observed, “The Milanee has always been at the forefront of art and culture. Elaborate arrangements are underway to take our art and culture to a new high that will give new dimensions to traditional values on the social and cultural scenario.”

The Foundation Day program commenced at 11 am with the hoisting of the Club flag by President Shekhar Dey and Secretary Dipankar ‘Raju’ Dutta. The Club anthem was rendered by the Sur Sangam team. Homage was paid to the former office bearers, including the late Amiyo Bhushan Sharma, Shib Prasad Banerjee, Shantiram Chakraborty, and 25 other deceased officials and founding members.
In the evening, a cultural program and arrangements for Bengali cuisine were organized. Swarnali Bose, a Sa Re Ga Ma Pa fame singer from Kolkata, enthralled the audience with her renditions. The program was anchored by Bhaskar Mitra. Secretary Raju Dutta offered the vote of thanks.
