Jamshedpur, Sep 28: As the Jharkhand Government is planning to make amendments in the Chotanagpur Tenancy Act (CNT), former Chief Minister of the State and leader of opposition Arjun Munda has accused the Hemant Soren led government of rushing up with things.
The amendments to the Act should definitely be made but the details should be collected as to what the merits and demerits it would have, Munda was talking to the scribes on the sidelines of a program in Bistupur on Sunday.
“I don’t have any issues in regard to the amendements in the Act but its long term effect should be kept in mind, the picture is not yet clear as to what the government wants to do in the issue”, added Munda.
Former CM further informed that before the amendments discussions should be made with the Intellectuals so that the picture becomes clear.
Right now the decision is pending in Tribal Advisiory Committee (TAC) for which the committee has to give its consent.
