Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today gave green signal to five trucks to re-initiate the loading and dispatch of coal from the Sikni coal mines in Latehar district. Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that the government working on plan to reopen all closed mines and industrials units in the district. Reopening of Sikni mines was a step in this direction, he said.
He said that the government was sensitive and committed to development of the state. The opening of Sikni project would arrest migration and solve unemployment problem in the region. He has everyone has to work untidily to make this project a success. In the state there was a great possibility for rock phosphate fertilizer. He said that a degree collage and a woman�s college will be opened in all districts. He said the government was giving Rs ten lakhs as development funds to all the Mukhiyas.
He asked the Latehar Deputy Commissioner to initiate self employment programme modeled on the Khunti district experiment. Youth should avail the advantage of the government schemes and they should be provided with loan by the banks and other financial institutions.
On the occasion Chairman of the Jharkhand Mineral Development Corporation Vishesh Singh, Latehar Deputy Commissioner, coal miners and those related to transport sector were present.
