Ranchi: Chief Secretary Sajal Chakraborty today asked the Personnel department to expedite the process of framing Service Rules of various Departments and to finalize them by June 15. He suggested hiring of a consultant to draft them.
At a meeting at the Project Building the Chief Secretary reviewed the progress of framing of rules in RCD, PWD, Forest, Finance, Labor, Industry, Co-operation, Panchayati Raj and other departments. He suggested adding a layer of position to extend promotional provisions in the department.
Personnel Principal Secretary Personnel S.K. Sathpathy said that there were a total 181 Services out of which Service Rules have been framed for 89 and matter of another 29 have been resolved.
At the meeting Principal Secretary, Human Resources K. Vidyasagar, Principal Secretary Forest Department Alka Tiwari, Finance Secretary A.P. Singh, Secretary Industry Himani Pandey were also present.
