Jamshedpur: Kolhan commissioner Brajmohan Kumar today said the entire state Cabinet of Jharkhand led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das was busy giving shape to a new Jharkhand. He said East Singhbhum was also on its way to development through the efforts being put in by the CM and his ministers.
Addressing the gathering during Jharkhand’s foundation day celebrations, Kumar said earlier the statehood day was celebrated only at the Morhabadi ground in Ranchi. But now, the state government has decided to celebrate the day in every district of the state, he said, adding that this was done to bring transparency in government’s works.
“The government wants to convey the benefits of all schemes to the common man. Women’s participation has been ensured through skill development programmes, Ujjwala Yojana and other schemes. Registry of land in the name of women for a token fee of Rs 1 is a proof of women’s empowerment in the state,” said the commissioner.
