Jamshedpur: State food minister Saryu Roy today said that Jharkhand is a rich state with an abundance of natural resources and huge scope for development. He said the resources of the state should be utilized in the larger interest of the people of Jharkhand.
Speaking on the occasion of the statehood day function, Roy said that sincere efforts were needed to plan and implement the overall development of Jharkhand. He said the sense of direction of development should not be lost. He said only good roads and industrial development should not be taken as the benchmark of development. Rather, he said, the happiness and satisfaction level among the people should be taken as the real indicator of development.
“We will keep reviewing Jharkhand’s development on every 15th November and plan how to make the people of the state happier and more prosperous. We need to work on basic infrastructure development, health, education and malnutrition,” he said.
