Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today directed the Urban Development Department authorities of the state to conduct a survey of leprosy patients inhabiting various pockets in Ranchi for the purpose of planning their proper rehabilitation.
He was speaking during a meeting convened to review various development and welfare schemes of the Urban Development Department.
The CM directed the department officials to organize a light and sound show based on the life of Bhagwan Birsa Munda near the historical jail at the Birsa Munda Memorial Park, Ranchi. He also reviewed the proposed project through video presentation. He said an open theatre would be constructed at the said venue.
The theatre would have a seating capacity of 500 people. A monument will also be erected at the open theatre in commemoration of martyred jawans of the state.
The CM asked the officials to study the design of Shaurya Smarak Park built in Bhopal. He said a Virtual Tribal Museum will also be there at the park so that people may get acquainted with the tribal way of life. A uranium museum ride facility will also be there at the park, he said.
The CM further reviewed the projects related to the light metro, flyover and beautification of Bada Talab in Ranchi. He was told that the Ravindra Bhavan construction project was also underway at brisk pace.
The meeting was also attended by the state Urban Development Minister CP Singh, Welfare Minister Dr Louis Marandi, Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma and Additional Chief Secretary Amit Khare.
