Jamshedpur, July 17: A goods train bogie derailed near Murgamahadev station of Chakradharpur Railway Division at around 2 pm on Thursday.
This goods train was going from Devjhar to Keonjhar, which was loaded with iron stones. After the accident, the movement of trains on both up and down lines has been completely disrupted.
A bogie of the goods train tilted towards the up line, due to which the operation on both tracks came to a halt. Puri-Barbil Express has been stopped at the outer of Murgamahadev station.
As soon as the information about the accident was received, officers and technical team from Chakradharpur Railway Division Headquarters left for the spot with a crane. The railway team is trying to bring the derailed bogie on the track and restore the operation as soon as possible. Till then the traffic on both the railway lines will remain suspended.
