Jamshedpur, October 23: In perhaps first such instance in the district, East Singhbhum district administration celebrated festival of light with the orphan children and families of martyred soldiers.
Almost all the senior administrative officials led by deputy commissioner Vijaya Jadhav along with SDM Dhalbhum Sandeep Kumar Meena, Additional Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Sinha, DEO Nirmala Barelia, DSE Nisha Kumari, CDPO Jamshedpur Durgesh Nandini met orphan students studying in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential School located in Golmuri.
Deputy Commissioner inquired from the children about their studies and asked them if they had any demand from the district administration. Some children put forth a demand to build a playground and install a swing, on which the Deputy Commissioner assured that these facilities would be made available in their school soon.

She told the children that happiness increases by sharing, Diwali is a festival of happiness, so the district administration officials have come to spend time with them and celebrate the happiness of this festival.
The deputy commissioner said the children that district administration is like their family. All the children here should make a good bond with each other, stand in each other’s happiness and sorrow.
SDM Dhalbhum asked the children to celebrate Diwali with mutual love and joy.
Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the children studying in this residential school should never feel alone, the district administration is with them on every occasion.
Deputy commissioner while wishing all on the occasion of Diwali asked masses to celebrate in a cordial atmosphere with gaiety.

On the initiative of deputy commissioner, Somwari Sabar, an orphan, was admitted to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Residential School a few months back. On hearing the news of the arrival of the Deputy Commissioner, Somwari also reached to receive her. During this, the bonding between a parent and child was seen between the Deputy Commissioner and Somwari. She also cherished Somwari and advised to study diligently.
During this, Bablu Soren, a class eight student, presented a painting of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, to the Deputy Commissioner. The Deputy Commissioner praised Bablu’s talent and said that she would put this painting in the office of the Deputy Commissioner.
Deputy Commissioner sat among the children and distributed sweets.
Meanwhile district administration led by deputy commissioner, SDM Dhalbhum, ADC Jamshedpur and CDPO reached the house of martyr Naik Subedar Srinivas Rao located at Agrico to share the happiness of Diwali.
They met the martyr’s mother, wife and children to know their wellbeing and distributed the happiness of Diwali by giving clothes and sweets on behalf of the district administration. After that the district administration officials reached the house of martyr Manoj Kumar in Bistupur and met his wife Sunita Sharma, children and other family members and wished them a happy Diwali by providing them clothes.
District administration also met families of martyr Kishan Dubey at Kitadih, Durgavati Devi, wife of slain soldier Jitendra Kumar in Bagbera , Naib Subedar Naveen Kumar, father of martyred solider Manoranjan Kumar (a recipient of Shaurya Chakra posthumously) at Baliguma.
Administration also reached the house of Ganesh Hansda, who was martyred in Galwan Valley at Baharagora and distributed sweets and angavastras with family members.
