Gita Shlokas resonate at Gulmohur School, Mayuri honoured as ‘Best Orator’

Jamshedpur, July 16: A Gita Shloka Recitation Competition was organised at Gulmohur High School for students of Classes VI to VIII to promote Indian culture, moral values and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita among young learners.

Selected shlokas from the Bhagavad Gita were recited by the participants with clarity, rhythm and devotion. Their meanings were also explained in a simple and effective manner. The confidence, pronunciation and command over Sanskrit displayed by the students were appreciated by the judges and the audience.

The competition was judged by former teachers Mridula Kumari and Meena, whose presence added significance to the event. After a closely contested competition, Mayuri of Class VIII was awarded the ‘Best Orator’ title for her confident presentation, clear pronunciation and expressive delivery.

Principal Priti Sinha and Vice Principal Archana Srivastava congratulated the winner and all the participants. It was stated that the Bhagavad Gita is not only a religious scripture but also a timeless guide that teaches courage, discipline, wisdom and responsibility.

The winners were felicitated at the conclusion of the programme. The event was successfully coordinated by the process owners Shashi Bhushan Pathak, Sanju Verma, Mala Singh, Babita Kumari, Rinku Kumari and Asha Pandey. A large number of students and teachers were present on the occasion.
