Jamshedpur, June 29: Internationally acclaimed city danseuse Vidushi Gauri Divakar spun a fascinating web with her Katthak recital in this dance form�s three talas to captivate the audience with her lucidity of movement, physical and facial expressions. Her performance at the Rajendra Vidyalay Auditorium today was a part of the two day Bharat Utsav organized by New Delhi�s Devdhara in association with ONGC, Government of India. Devdhara is dedicated to the propagation of Odissi classical dance forms.
The program was inaugurated by chief guest, JUSCO Workers� Union president Raghunath Pandey. The chief guest and guests were greeted with flower bouquets by the organizers.
The students of Devdhara Dance Academy opened the show with the presentation of Mangalachran with Phulnadi Sloka in the Odissi format. Odissi dance expert Guru Dr Gajendra Panda and Arya Nandi presented Ardh Narishwar that reflected on this form of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. This Odissi presentation received resounding ovation from the house full audience.
