Gamharia, March 25: The Saraikela and Kharsawan Vidhan Sabha segments have 353 new voters on its rolls while 98 corrections were made in the details of existing voters in the course of revision of electoral rolls.
Gamharia Block BDO Thakur Gauri Shankar Sharma said that as per directives of the District Returning Officer, camps were set up at every polling booth on Sunday, March 24 to enroll new voters and carry out error rectification in details mentioned in the VID cards. He informed that 266 new voters had been enrolled in the Saraikela Assembly constituency while rectification had been made in details of 72 voter ID cards. Similarly names of 87 new voters were included in the Kharsawan Assembly constituency while 26 errors were rectified.
