Jamshedpur, March 25: The Kolhan Human Rights Organization today handed a letter to the DC East Singhbhum seeking permission to carry out awareness drive for voting during the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
The Kolhan Human Rights Organization president Pradip Kumar Mishra said that the Lok Sabha elections were like a festival where eligible members of all communities were responsible for sending the right representatives to Parliament. Every vote counts and this importance has to be driven home to voters. That is why we have sought permission of the district authority to carry out awareness drives and motivate each and every voter to exercise individual franchise.
The organization plans to launch its awareness campaign through street corner meetings and spread relevant messages through banners and hoardings. A huge awareness rally has also been planned. Mishra has urged the youth to participate in the awareness program zealously.
