Jamshedpur: Friends of Tribal Society (FTS) Yuva, Jamshedpur, inaugurated its 2026–27 session with a grand Navratri celebration at the Jamshedpur Mahila Samiti in Bistupur. The event blended spiritual devotion with a powerful commitment to social welfare, drawing members and the community together in a vibrant display of unity.
Devotion and Tradition
Convener Seema Agarwal opened the program by highlighting the spiritual essence of Navratri and the cultural importance of Kanya Pujan. Following her address, the organization conducted a traditional Kanya Pujan ceremony, honoring young girls with rituals, tilaks, and chunaris.
Attendees received prasad consisting of halwa, chana, and puri, while children were gifted educational kits containing notebooks and pencils to encourage their studies.
Commitment to Education
In a major highlight of the afternoon, FTS Yuva demonstrated its dedication to community service by presenting a ₹3 lakh cheque to the FTS Chapter. This contribution will specifically support 10 schools, reinforcing the organization’s mission to provide education in tribal and underserved areas.
