Jamshedpur: A health camp was organized at BR Seva Sadan in Garabasa, Sakchi, on the occasion of World Vitiligo Day on Monday. Those suffering from vitiligo (safed daag or leucoderma) were made aware about their skin condition and its causes, said Dr Rajeev Thakur, city-based dermatologist, who organized the camp.
People were informed that vitiligo is neither hereditary nor contagious. They were asked to get continued treatment. More than 25 patients were present on the occasion. They were dispensed free consultation and medicines at the camp.
