Jamshedpur, Feb 17: Sixty houses in Kadma Jaiprakash Nagar Basti received free electricity connections on Wednesday as work commenced on the directives of Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta under the state government’s Saubhagya Yojna that provides for power connections to slum areas and people belonging to the backward communities. Application forms for free power connection were being distributed in various parts of the city.
On Wednesday, 60 houses in Jaiprakash Nagar had electric meters, main switches installed and wirings done. Those present during the inaugural days free power supply provision were Ravi Dubey, Jhunnu, Shambhu Jha, Babua Jha, Prabhat Thakur JE Gambhir, Majid Akhtar, Bishu, Dinesh Agrawal, Kalu Das, Roshan, Somnath and others.
