Jamshedpur: Mumbai School Delegation Visits Gulmohur High School for Education Exchange

Jamshedpur: A delegation from Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School visited Gulmohur High School, Jamshedpur, on January 8 and 9, 2026, as part of a focused professional exchange aimed at sharing best practices, innovative pedagogies, and systems supporting holistic education.

The visiting team comprised Persis Wadia, Principal; Delshad Dumasia, School Leader (Secondary Level); Pooja Naik, Educator (Secondary Level); and Geeti Irani, Educator (Foundational Level). The two-day programme, held from 9.30 am to 2.00 pm, offered an immersive insight into Gulmohur High School’s academic, co-curricular, pastoral, and administrative frameworks.

Day 1: School Processes and Integrated Learning

The first day featured a presentation by the principal on school systems and the Derozio Award journey, followed by a mindfulness walk through the Botanical Garden. Sessions on mind mapping and integrated learning across music, art, sports, and activity clubs were conducted, along with demonstrations of student learning outcomes across multiple domains. The delegation was also briefed on IT-enabled systems, including intra-site management and grievance redressal mechanisms.

Day 2: Innovation, Wellbeing and Student Support

Day two showcased story mapping, book reviews and assembly planning, a review of teacher observation tools and professional diaries, and pre-primary experiential learning practices. The visitors were introduced to counselling systems with happiness tracking, AI and robotics initiatives, the Happy School Programme, Gulmohur Chronicles, the Six Thinking Hats methodology, structured career counselling frameworks and the Mothers Reading Club. The visit concluded with a reflective planning session and an interactive Q&A.

Sharing her thoughts on the exchange, Priti Sinha, Principal, Gulmohur High School, said: “Such professional exchanges reaffirm the importance of collaborative learning among schools. Hosting the Maneckji Cooper team was both affirming and enriching, allowing us to reflect on our practices while learning from each other’s experiences.”
