Jamshedpur, July 2: The postal department in Singhbhum region (comprising East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Seraikela Kharsawan districts) has dismissed five employees after their certificates were found to be fake. This development brings the total number of dismissed employees to 34, including nine who were previously reinstated but later dismissed upon further scrutiny.
Senior Postal Superintendent Parmanand Kumar disclosed that investigations into approximately 30 more employees with suspicious documents are nearing completion. The ongoing probe aims to ensure thoroughness and accuracy, leaving no room for oversight.
Kumar further elaborated that some individuals, originally failing matriculation exams, fraudulently presented themselves as pass holders through forged documents. This discovery has prompted a broader inquiry into the syndicate responsible for facilitating such deceitful reinstatements.
Moreover, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting a parallel investigation into similar reinstatements nationwide, potentially implicating additional individuals in fraudulent activities within the postal department.
