Chaibasa, Aug 14: The ugly business of drugs like brown sugar is now also spreading in small towns too. Shockingly, several youths are joining the trade to mint easy money. After Chaibasa city, police arrested four youths carrying brown sugar in Scorpio in Kiriburu of West Singhbhum district. Acting on a tip off, the investigation started on late Friday evening under the leadership of police station in-charge Ashok Kumar. During the drive, four youths were stopped after seeing a Scorpio. During investigation by the police, 27 packs of Brown Sugar were recovered. Rehan Ahmed, Himanshu Sahu, Vijay Hembram and Pradeep Murmu were present in Scorpio. All have been arrested by the police.
Police are grilling the four youths about their involvement in the business of brown sugar. Giving information in this regard, the officer said that information about brown sugar business was received from Jamshedpur and Rourkela. On the basis of that, these four youths have been caught in the investigation. They are being interrogated. The police will further try to reach out to the suppliers as well and will completely shut down this business.
