Four including minor arrested for theft at advocate’s residence in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 18: The police have apprehended four suspects, including a minor, in connection with a theft worth lakhs of rupees from the Burmamines residence of Jamshedpur court advocate Satendra Kumar Singh. Satendra Kumar Singh’s residence is near the Durga Puja Maidan under Burmamines police station. The arrested suspects were identified as Raja Majhi, a resident of Burmamines Jaiprakash Ashram, Sonar (a jewelry buyer), Shri Krishna Parida from Mayurbhanj, Odisha, Ashish Paida from Baharagora, and a minor. The police recovered a total of 300 grams of melted gold from Sonar, with 89.060 grams retrieved from Satendra’s house, along with the rod and screwdriver used in the theft. City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat stated that besides Raja Majhi and the minor, another youth was involved in the theft, and subsequent investigations led to the arrest of Shri Krishna and Ashish. The stolen jewelry was sold to the latter two at Rs. 30,000 per ten grams. Earlier, a youth named Aman was detained but later released due to lack of evidence against him. The police are currently conducting raids to re-apprehend him.
