Four arrested with six stolen bikes

Seraikela: Seraikela-Kharsawan police here on Wednesday claimed to have busted a racket of motorcycle-lifters by arresting its four members and recovering six stolen motorcycles.

Those arrested were identified as Budheshwar Kumbhkar, Sukhlal Kumbhkar, Gura Ho and Mahavir Kumar Das.

The SP of Seraikela-Kharsawan Rakesh Bansal said the bikes were recovered on the basis of a tip-off about their being kept in Mahadevpur, Bhadrodih and Palasdih villages. In the raids conducted late yesterday night, cops nabbed the accused persons from their houses.

District police had lodged an FIR in connection with the theft of a motorcycle from Mahali Murup Haat on 25th April last.
