Jamshedpur: Members of Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad will be paying rich tributes to the martyrs of the Kargil War on 26th July. A decision to this effect was taken by them at a meeting of the outfit organized at Shiv Mandir, Baridih Bazar, on Sunday.
Addressing the meeting, the outfit member Varun Kumar said the main purpose behind organizing Kargil victory day function is to seek a new identity for the soldiers in the society. He said the people should be told about the sacrifices made by soldiers in saving the country from the hands of enemies.
The outfit members decided to pay tributes to the 526 martyrs of Kargil War at Shaheed Smriti Sthal on the premises of Golmuri Police Lines. They appealed to the citizens to attend the event in large numbers.
Among those present at the meeting included Ramesh Singh, Avdhesh Kumar, KM Singh, Sukhvinder Singh, Satyendra Singh, Ramashankar Singh, Deepak Sarkar and Dinesh Singh.
