Former IPS Nirmala Kaur files fir alleging document theft from Late Amitabh Choudhary’s room

Ranchi: In a significant development, former IPS Nirmala Kaur has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) at Dhurva police station regarding the alleged theft of documents from the late Amitabh Choudhary’s room. Nirmala Kaur has accused six members of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) of pilfering crucial documents related to her husband’s property. The accused individuals named in the FIR are Ajay Nath Shahdev, Rajiv Singh, Rajesh Verma, Ranjit Singh, Rajiv Bandhan, and Devashish Chakraborty.

All six individuals stand accused of stealing documents from Amitabh Choudhary’s room. According to Nirmala Kaur’s application, her late husband dedicated his life to the field of cricket and spent most of his time at the JSCA Stadium in Dhurwa, Ranchi. Amitabh Choudhary, who passed away on August 16, 2022, had his office at JSCA Stadium.

Nirmala Kaur’s grievance in the FIR recounts her attempt to collect personal papers and property from her husband’s office on September 15, 2022. However, she alleges that she was denied entry, and the accused individuals, namely Devashish Chakraborty, Rajiv Singh, Rajiv Bandhan, Ajay Nath Shahdev, Rajesh Verma alias Bobby, and Ranjit Kumar Singh, fled upon learning of her arrival. The FIR further claims that Nirmala Kaur was mistreated, threatened, and her son abused.

The FIR details the alleged sale of family papers, a significant portion of ancestral land in Darbhanga and Musabani, for cash, educational certificates, and bank bond papers. Nirmala Kaur asserts that these items were found in her late husband’s room. When inquiring about her late father’s personal belongings, her son faced abuse and threats from those present. Despite continuous efforts to reclaim the property, no items have been returned.
