Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has officially extended the tenure of Kapil Raj, the Additional Director of the Ranchi Zone, by an additional year, effective until December 12, 2024. The Ministry of Finance Department of Revenue ED Section issued the order on Wednesday.
Kapil Raj, currently overseeing the investigation of several high-profile cases in Jharkhand, including the illegal mining scam, land scam, and MLA cash scandal, has been instrumental in the progress of these investigations.
Previously, on September 14, 2023, Kapil Raj, along with two other senior officers, Dr. Vidyut Vikas and Vinod Sharma, was promoted and appointed to the position of Additional Director within the ED Enforcement Directorate. The extension of Kapil Raj’s tenure signifies the confidence placed in his capabilities to continue leading and advancing the ongoing investigations in the Ranchi Zone.
