Chandil, March 15: Former Ichagarh MLA Arvind Singh, known as Malkhan Singh, attended the Baha Bonga festival held at Asanbani Jaherthan at Chandil in the Ichagarh Assembly constituency as the chief guest. Other guests included Nike Baba Gurucharan Soren, Majhi Baba Duryodhan Mardi, Anand Gorai, Budhu Majhi, Subroto Nag, and other dignitaries.
Singh received a warm welcome upon his arrival, with local residents greeting him with flower garlands. The Baha festival commenced with elaborate rituals and worship at Jaherthan.
A cultural program was presented to uphold tribal traditions during the Baha festival.
Singh emphasized the importance of cooperation in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the tribal communities.
