Former CWC chairperson Pushpa Tirkey walks out of jail after 115 days

Jamshedpur, Oct 9: Former CWC chairperson of East Singhbhum district Pushpa Rani Tirkey was released from Ghaghidih Central Jail on Saturday after nearly 115 days. On October 4, she was granted bail by the court of Justice R Mukhopadhaya of the Jharkhand High Court. She was in jail since June 15 last.
The bail bond was filled on Friday after the bail order reached the Jamshedpur Court. After this she was released today.  Pushpa Tirkey’s advocate Bimal Kumar Pandey gave the information. 
On the complaint of two minors of the trust an FIR was lodged against Harpal Singh Thapar, Director of Telco-based Mother Teresa Welfare Trust, CWC chairperson Pushpa Rani Tirkey, Warden Geeta Singh and others.
Directors Harpal Singh, Pushpa Tirkey, Aditya Singh and one other were arrested by Jamshedpur Police on June 14 after raiding Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh. Harpal Singh died in judicial custody on July 17 under suspicious circumstances. The judicial matter of the death case is being investigated. The report has not come yet. The statement of minors was also recorded in the court under section 164 of the police in the case.
