Jamshedpur, Oct 9: A delegation of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry met Jharkhand Health and Disaster Management Minister Banna Gupta and submitted a memorandum urging the state government to unlock all shops and establishments on Sundays and to extend business hours upto 10 pm in view of the impending festive season. The Minister gave the SCCI delegates a patient and sympathetic hearing and assured that he would take up their cause with the Chief Minister. Earlier, the SCCI delegation had also met Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar and handed him a letter addressed to Chief Minister Hemant Soren urging him therein to unlock Sunday restrictions for all shops so that shopkeepers and traders could recoup their income that was adversely affected during the COVID infection period during the oncoming festive season.
