Jamshedpur, June 3: Raghubar Das, the former Chief Minister of the state and National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has conveyed his deep sorrow over the Balasore train accident. He expressed satisfaction with the relief and rescue efforts undertaken by the Railways in response to the incident that occurred on Friday evening. Das acknowledged the Railway Minister and Chairman of the Railway Board for their prompt visit to Balasore, which demonstrates their sensitivity towards the situation.

In his statement, Das extended his condolences to the families of the victims affected by the tragic accident. He acknowledged that while no amount of compensation can alleviate the grief of the bereaved families, the ex-gratia provided by the Central Government and the Railways, announced by the Prime Minister from the Relief Fund, is commendable. He expressed his confidence in the compassionate approach and proactive measures taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in response to the incident. Das further highlighted the sensitivity exhibited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited the accident site in Balasore to assess the situation and personally met with the injured in the hospital. He praised Prime Minister Modi for always standing with the people of the country in both their joys and sorrows. Das emphasized that the Prime Minister’s visit to the accident site and his interactions with the injured demonstrate his caring nature as a guardian. The entire nation stands in solidarity with the victims of the Balasore train accident, according to Das.
