Former Chakradharpur MLA joins BJP

Chaibasa: JMM leader and former Chakradharpur MLA Shashi Bhushan Samad joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi, who arrived at the West Singhbhum District Working Committee meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party Scheduled Tribes Morcha. 
Samad, who refused to speak on leaving the party, had been a JMM MLA from Chakradharpur. He was not given a ticket from the party in the 2019 assembly elections. JMM had won by giving tickets to Sukhram Oraon instead of him. Since then, Shashi Bhushan was running aloof with the party. Shashibhushan has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, possibly to become the face of the BJP in the next assembly elections. After the death of Laxman Gilua, this seat seems completely vacant.
In view of this, Shashi Bhushan Samad decided to join the BJP party. However, the wife of former state president late Laxman Giluva was also seen on the stage, who can become the face of the party in the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha elections. 
Shashibhushan Samad had contested the last election from Babulal Marandi’s Sadarat-led JVM after being cut from the JMM. The BJP candidate then was Laxman Giluva. Sukhram Oraon of JMM had won. Later Lakshmana Giluva died. Now Shashi Bhushan has become a soldier of BJP.
