Jamshedpur, Sept. 15: Indian International footballer CK Vineeth held his first interaction with the local media after joining Jamshedpur FC. Talking to newsmen at Flatlets in Kadma the star striker said, “A football player should be versatile and accomplished to play in any position. Today there is no importance of special position and where ever a footballer is put on the field be it midfield, forward or defense line he will have to perform. As such, a player should be able to adjust to any situation including preventing rivals scoring or finding the net for the team. Only then he can be deemed to be a complete footballer.

Vineeth has played for several teams in the South of India including Kerala Blasters, Bengaluru FC and Chennaiyan FC in ISL and now wants to play for North and East teams.
Talking about not representing home team, Vineeth said, “In professional football it doesnt matter if you are playing for your home team or other state teams. There is no place for emotions in club football but emotions run high when you are playing for your country.”

When asked about his popularity among fans when playing for Kerala Blasters, CK Vineeth says, “It is the game that makes a player popular and if I give off my best here, I will be able to win admirers here too.
Vineeth expressed confidence of putting up a good show against his former team Kerala Blasters. He said, It is up to the coach to decide the positions his players would play in.

The Keralite further stated, “We will have to forget what happened last year and put our best foot forward while going into the new season. Jamshedpur FC is a new team for me but soon we all will bond and develop coordination and our first target will be to reach the play offs.”
In professional football the coach’s strategy is important and he has his own perspective. It is my first occasion to play under Spanish coach Antonio Iriondo who has a vast experience and I will try to execute the coach’s strategy and take JFC to the pinnacle.
CK Vineeth knows that Jamshedpur is home to a large number of people of Malyalee community who also celebrate Onam. He expressed his desire to meet the Malyalees residing here. “I want to see as to how Malyalees far away from Kerala have kept their culture alive and intact,” Vineeth signed off.
On the other hand, Jamshedpur FC players continue their pre-season training at Flatlets ground in Kadma on weekends. On Saturday the team sweated it out in the evening under floodlights while the players took the field early Sunday morning under the guidance of head coach Antonio Iriondo.
