Gamharia, April 12: A cooking gas cylinder in a food shanty near the IOC company gate in Gamharia’s industrial area suddenly exploded on Wednesday afternoon seriously injuring the owner, Subhash ‘Lambodar’ Mahto and his his nine-year old son Chiranjit Mahto. Lambodar’s wife suffered minor injuries in the incident. Social worker Bablu Pradhan, who reached the spot after beingh informed of the accident, reported the matter to the Gamharia police and the Fire Department. The police sent the injured to the Community Health Center at Gamharia for treatment. After being provided primary medical treatment, the injured were sent to MGM Hospital for better treatment. The fire tenders doused the flames.
