Jamshedpur, April 12: Geeta Theatre observed Rashtriya Nukkad Natak Divas (National Street Theatre Day) on Wednesday in the slum areas of Bhalubasa under the aegis of TCI Foundation. The Nukkad Natak was aimed at making citizens aware of the importance of availing of COVID-19 vaccines. The play was entitled, ‘Teeka Haye Zaroori,’ (Vaccination is necessary). The theme stressed the necessity of cleanliness in and around homes and public places and eating nutritious food besides taking COVID-19 vaccines.
On the conclusion of the play, Geeta Theatre President Geeta Kumari posed questions to the audience about the scenes presented in the play and the persons who provided the correct answers were honoured by the theatre group. Abhiranjan Kumar, Divyanka Tiwari, Tushar Dasgupta, Sameer Nandan, Manish Dey and Dilip Patro put in brilliant performances in the play. As the narrators, Nat and Nati, Prem Dixit and Geeta Kumari entertained the audience with the witty observations. Deepak Sehgal and Ajay Kumar from TCI Foundation were present on the occasion.
