Jamshedpur, Dec 10: The spirit of Loyola High School was, is and will remain contagious while its ‘firsts’ in the realms of studies, sports and other extra-curricular activities are hallmarks that hold sway on the concept of allround education. The air is rife with speculations and expectations as the three-day Platinum Jubilee celebrations get underway from December 16 to set hearts on fire. Music, dance, drama, food and varieties of ‘liquid blankets’ and ‘Ah! Those Days’ recollections will prevail among nonagenarians as they get together to re-live life a la the School Anthem, “Loyola-Loyola/We will sing our proud refrain…”

Rabindranath Tagore’s, ‘Kabuliwallah’, has recorded millions of recitations, unaccounted stage and cinema presentations in several languages and like a true and committed ‘Loyola Wallah’ ‘Kabuliwallah remains to rule over universal fraternity.

“Sarojini Naidu’s Bangle Sellers, legendary Premchand’s ‘Eidgah’ are expected to pull us back through simpler times where Sirs Osta and Pandeyji introduced us to new facets about times and fraternal feelings… about trust and life,” observed Kuldip Singh now almost 79 years young.

Popular exponents of music, drama and other realms of the performing media will add pep to the strides of the Cliff Richard’s philosophical, ‘The Young Ones’ who will merrily sing, “…As we march along,” through more generations and time.

The countdown has begun; the adrenaline threatens to overflow; the tribe of nonagenarian Loyola Alumnus are rearing to go back to ‘decent mischief’ days … well there are much more facets that make these ’young ‘uns’ yearn for the three days of excitement while they travel back in time for ‘yesterday once more.’
