Jamshedpur, June 23: State food and civil supplies minister Saryu Roy said accountability should be fixed on government officials entrusted with the task of running MGM Hospital. He said the health department should fix accountabilities so that someone is there to take the full responsibility of the government hospital. He said every now and then it is seen that various people visit the government hospital and slam its management for lack of quality healthcare facilities. He said people could not just target the hospital officials without doing anything for the hospital�s uplift.
Addressing journalists at his Bistupur office on Sunday, Roy said he would speak to the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand and seek necessary measures to improve healthcare facilities in the hospital.
Roy said he was serious about providing basic civic amenities to the residents of Jamshedpur West assembly constituency. He said the officials concerned often tried to escape questions about public utilities. He said he would hold a meeting on 1st July to review public utilities in Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency.
