Five new Kolhan University colleges to miss senate elections

Jamshedpur, Feb 20: New colleges of Kolhan University have been kept out of the upcoming senate elections. This was informed by the university officials on Sunday. They said the university had issued a notification in this regard.

As per the notification, the senate elections would be organized on 28^th February. Five new colleges have been excluded from the elections. They include Mahila College Kharsawan, Degree College Jagannathpur, Degree College Majhgaon, Degree College Manoharpur and Model College Kharsawan. Earlier, these colleges were included in the polls. The candidates in fray include Prabhat Kumar Pandey, Uday Kant Choudhary, Ramesh Chandra Thakur and Pratyush Kumar Pani.

Chief election officer of KU Dr Jayant Shekhar issued the final list of candidates. He said the oath taking ceremony of newly elected senate members would be held on 4^th March.
