Jamshedpur, Feb 20: The villagers of Mosabani have joined hands to oppose construction of a proposed community centre building behind Babu Line at Mosabani Line No. 1. They said the community centre building was being constructed near a community well. They said the local residents have been organizing Janmashtami at the same place where the proposed community centre building is presently situated.
Due to the continuing Corona epidemic, the Janmashtami programme could not be arranged. During Chhath, a large number of people come here every year. Different types of social and religious programmes are organized at the community well. In such a situation, the community building should not be built near the well.
In view of the public protest, district administration had made tight security arrangements at the protest venue. Mosabani BDO Seema Kumari and the officer in-charge of Mosabani police station Raja Dilawar reached there and tried to control the situation.
Sources said if the construction work starts by taking into consideration all the stakeholders, there will be no problem.
