Jamshedpur, Sept. 29: Corona warriors who fought this deadly disease successfully through their sheer strong immunity are coming forward to donate plasma which is indeed proving to be a boon for severely ill patients. While the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) is steadfastly working for collection of maximum number of units of blood by organizing regular blood donation camps, it has also helping in plasma donation movement. Realising the significance of plasma and responding to the call of district administration and IRCS, five persons who recovered from COVID 19 virus recently, namely Deepak Kumar Tiwary, Anshu Singh, Vikas Kumar Singh, RK Jha and the well known surgeon of Jamshedpur Dr Joy Bhaduri have donated plasma today at the Jamshedpur Blood Bank. These plasma donors were felicitated by the Jamshedpur Blood Bank, the district administration and IRCS by presenting a memento and a certificate. To encourage the plasma donors, Smita Nagesia, Protocol Officer, Plasma Donation, Sanjay Choudhury, Administrator, Jamshedpur Blood Bank, Bijay Kumar Singh, Hony Secretary, IRCS, Balmukund Goyal, Vice-President, IRCS, Prem Prakash Goyal, Patron, IRCS, Prabhunath Singh, active member, IRCS, Uday Prakash Singh, Asst Manager, SNTI were present during plasma donation. Dr LBP Singh, Dr Rita Singh, Dr Nirjala and other technicians from the Jamshedpur Blood Bank were actively involved in organizing the plasma donation.
