Jamshedpur, Jan 29: The police have made significant progress in the Santosh Singh murder case, with five accused, including the shooter, arrested. The victim was killed by gunfire, an incident that caused widespread panic in the area.
A special team, formed under the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police, East Singhbhum, swiftly arrested the key criminals, Raunak Singh and Nikhil Singh. Raunak was apprehended in Delhi, while Nikhil was arrested from the Mango police station area. Both have been sent to judicial custody.
The main shooters involved, Rohit Dixit, Shubham Kumar and Bimal Gop alias Takla, were also taken into custody. The police recovered the weapons and the scooty used in the crime. Additional arrests were made, including Vivek Kumar Tiwari alias Lakhi Tiwari and Ankit Sharma alias Brettley, who had helped plan the attack. All the accused have confessed to their involvement.
The murder stemmed from a revenge plot, following the killing of Rohit Dixit’s father, Pashupati Nath Dixit, with Jitendra Singh and his brother Santosh Singh believed to have orchestrated the killing. Police continue to raid locations to capture other involved criminals.
SSP Kaushal Kishore praised the successful operation, affirming the police’s commitment to tackling criminal activity in the region.
