Jamshedpur, Jan 29: In a significant breakthrough, Sakchi police have arrested a man under the Arms Act and seized a pistol and ammunition. The accused, identified as Dhamendra Yadav (35), was taken into custody from his residence near Kashidih Line Number 1 in Sakchi.
Following interrogation, the police recovered the weapon and bullets, which Yadav had hidden on the roof of his house. This arrest is linked to a recent altercation between two groups, where firearms were reportedly used to intimidate the parties involved.
SSP Kaushal Kishore praised the efforts of the police team, led by Police Inspector cum Station Incharge Anand Kumar Mishra. The police raiding team, which included Jitendra Kumar Verma, Sujit Kumar and others, was instrumental in locating the weapon.
The successful arrest marks a step toward ensuring peace and safety in the area.
