Jamshedpur, July 2: The police today arrested one of the accused, Roshan Ranjan (26) involved in firing at Madhusudhan Apartment at Mango. His bike was also seized after the victim Udayshankar Singh had lodged an FIR with the Ulidihthana late in the night.
After arresting Ranjan, who is a member of notorious Guddu Pandey gang which operates in Mango, the police launched search for the other accused involved in the blank firing and ransacking of a house at the MadhusudhanRajeswar apartment.
“We are investigating the incident. The miscreants have fired about seven rounds of shots in the air, aiming to spread fear among residents ofMadhusudhanRajeswar apartment,” said OC, Mango thana, Arun Kumar Mahatha.
Earlier a month ago, another incident of firing hat taken place near the Gurudwara Road in the night, but it could not be ascertained who had fired the shots in the blank.
A group of youths opened fire near an apartment at Teachers’ Colony under Ulidihthana area in Mango last night, spreading a fear among residents at that locality.The youths resorted to blank fire after ransacking the door and window panes of Udayshankar Singh at MadhusudhanRajeswar apartment only because the Singh who resides on fourth floor of the apartment had opposed the miscreants from making unlawful gathering near the apartment.
