Jamshedpur, Jan 27: A major fire broke out in an old tyre godown situated at Station Road under Jugsalai police station area on Friday morning. However no casualty was reported, police said.
Sources said flames were seen erupting from the godown around 6.40 am. Morning walkers first noticed the fire and informed police and fire department about the incident. Two fire tenders reached the spot and controlled the fire by 8.30 am.
Police reached the scene and arrested the godown owner, identified as Mohammad Salam. They said they were trying to find out the cause of fire.
