Jamshedpur, April 28: A sudden fire erupted in the warehouse of a chocolate distributor on Mango Dimna Road on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred while the warehouse was closed. Upon noticing smoke billowing from the warehouse, a nearby medical shop owner promptly alerted distributor Suraj Poddar.
Upon receiving the distress call, the Jharkhand fire brigade swiftly arrived at the scene and after strenuous efforts managed to bring the fire under control.
Suraj Poddar, who rushed to the site upon receiving the news, stated that he had closed the warehouse and left for home shortly before the incident occurred. He speculated that a nearby electricity transformer might have caused a spark, resulting in the fire.
Poddar estimated the damages caused by the fire to be around Rs 2 lakh.
