Chakulia, May 3: A fire broke out on Friday in the Sunsunia Sal forest of Chakulia, engulfing the area between the up and down railway lines. Suspected to be ignited by mischievous elements, the fire spread rapidly through the forest. Prompt action by forest guard Anoop Bera and his team managed to bring the blaze under control after great efforts. The Sunsunia forest, traversed by railway lines, often witnesses such incidents during the summer months, typically caused by people cutting small trees for firewood.
