Fine of Rs 60K for dengue larvae in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Sept 8: In East Singhbhum district, an intensive investigation campaign is being conducted in the municipal areas to prevent the spread of dengue. In this sequence, on Friday, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) fined Rs 20,000 from a cattle shed for finding dengue larvae in Sonari and not maintaining cleanliness.

On the other hand, Mango Municipal Corporation charged a fine of Rs 40,000 from four people for finding dengue larvae during the investigation campaign in Azadnagar Road No. 2. The district administration has appealed to the general public to maintain cleanliness around their homes and establishments and do not allow water logging in the house.

In this regard, the nodal officer Dr Asad told that in the sample test on September 7, 16 people were found dengue positive. So far, in total 3972 samples tested, 591 people have been found dengue positive.

Currently 297 people are undergoing treatment in the hospital. In which 11 are in ICU, while 286 are admitted in normal ward and 55 people have been discharged from the hospital. So far, four people have died due to dengue in the district.
