Fifty migrant workers of Potka, Jugsalai return to Bengaluru

Jamshedpur, Sept 2: They had come back to Potka and Jugsalai four months earlier during the lockdown period with hopes of employment in their home localities. But no income earning opportunities came their way and 50 such migrants of Potka and Jugsalai took a bus back to Bengaluru where they will join Bodo Healthcare Private Ltd and get back to their earning ways. These 50 disillusioned migrant workers who boarded the bus to Bengaluru from Jamshedpur were from Sigdi, Sohda, Rahargora and Chandpur in Potka and others from Jugsalai Assembly constituency. One of the Sigdi migrants, Ganesh Patar going to Bengaluru said before boarding the bus, �The Jharkhand government had assured me of a job in my native village but in spite of it, I sat idle, jobless, all this time. As such, I am being forced to leave Jharkhand and return for work to Bengaluru.� Ganesh Patar showed a permission letter issued by the related department of the Jharkhand government that allowed him to go out of the state for work.
