Counterfeit Tata Wiron barbed wire material seized in Haryana raid

Jamshedpur: As part of the ongoing effort to protect its brand and assets, Tata Steel, with the support of local Police, conducted a joint raid at Laxmi Industries located in Bhiwani in Haryana on August 31. The team seized approximately 100 bundles of counterfeit Tata Wiron barbed wire material from the sellers estimated to be valued at Rs two lakh. An FIR has been lodged in this connection.

Tata Wiron�s barbed wire possesses unique packaging which is authorised to be sold by channel partners only.

Upon receiving information that Laxmi Industries located at Bhiwani in Haryana were unauthorizedly selling Tata Wiron Barbed wire products, Tata Steel with the help of local police has conducted a joint raid and seized 100 bundles of counterfeit material. The owners were selling counterfeit barbed wires by mixing genuine plain Tata Wiron wires with local wires after packaging similar to that of original Tata Wiron barbed wire. This attempt of passing of sub-standard material as that of Tata Steel material not only affects the consumers but also brand of Tata.
