Farmers burn effigy of PM, UP CM across Jharkhand

Ranchi, October 4: Farmers under the aegis of All India Kisan Sabha, state unit and backed by Left parties burnt effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath across Jharkhand.

All India Kisan Sabha Jharkhand unit convenor Sufal Mahato said that effigies of Prime Minister and UP CM were burnt at all the 24 districts of Jharkhand against the killing of four farmers allegedly by the son of the Union minister of state for home, Ajay Mishra Teni.

Meanwhile CITU, the Left backed trade union which had been expressing solidarity with farmer’s stir also strongly condemned the most gruesome killings of farmers who were peacefully protesting at Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh.

“The farmers were killed by the son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs by deliberately running his vehicle over the farmers. It is also reported by eyewitnesses that he and his henchmen had also fired at the unarmed kisans. In a shocking incident the Haryana CM has been caught on camera directing RSS/BJP activists to unleash physical attacks on the struggling kisans,” said CITU leader Prakash Viplav.

The farmers leader Sufal Mahato said that the farmer’s agitation would continue.

“We are awaiting directive from Samyukta Kisan Morcha for future course of agitation against the government which has crossed all boundaries of humanity. It seems that the ruling pro corporate government is hell-bent on to serve their Masters at any cost. That’s why instead of conceding the demands of repealing the Farm laws, this fascistic regime resorted to unleashing repressions,” said Mahato.

The farmer leader felt that “Defeat BJP Mission” announced by the kisan panchayat at Muzaffarnagar kisan rally that has already sent a shivering into the spine of UP chief minister Yogi and BJP leaders.

“This is the reason they are showing their desperation and where RSS and its political platform- BJP is becoming restless. Thus they resorted to violence against farmers true to their fascist characters,” said Mahato.

Meanwhile, CITU calls upon the working class to come out in large numbers to condemn this dastardly killing and to express our class Solidarity with kisans.
