Family feud leads father to kill son in Mango

Jamshedpur, May 26: A 50-year-old man killed his 22-year-old son Uday Kumar Shao at Daiguttu under Azadnagar police station area in Mango on Thursday morning. The police have arrested the father, Bijay Shao who�used to�sell�golgappas�at Mango market.

According to police, during the incident Uday was fighting with his wife Sunita (21) at the residential premises of his house.� As the quarrel between the husband and wife was getting intense and Uday had even started assaulting his wife, his younger sister Seema (18) interfered in the fight, trying to save her sister-in-law from getting beaten further.

At the sight of both his daughter and daughter-in-being thrashed, Bijay who was present at home came forward and pushed Uday hard.� But the father pushed the son so forcefully that he fell down and his head hit a wooden cot kept in the courtyard, causing him to get senseless.

Sources said as soon as he fell unconscious, the accused Bijay Shao rushed his son to the MGM Medical College and Hospital emergency where the doctors on duty declared him as brought dead.

“He might have had a brain-hemorrhage due to his fall at the corner of the wooden cot,” said a doctor.

Getting to know this to be a case of murder case, the cops posted at the medical college hospital had soon taken Bijay into custody.

Officer-in-charge, Azadnagar police station Anjani Kumar Singh confirmed about the unintentional murder taken place at Daiguttu this morning.

“We are probing the incident. As it was an unintentional murder committed during a family feud, we have just taken Bijay into our custody before sending the body to the medical college mortuary for post-mortem,” said the officer-in-charge.
